Empowering Widows: Strengthening & Bonding

The Women’s Redeem & Restore Society organized a meaningful program titled “Empowering Widows: Strengthening & Bonding.” The initiative aimed to provide emotional support, encourage social connections, and empower widowed women in our community.
Widows often face emotional, social, and financial challenges. This program created a supportive space where they could connect, share experiences, and rebuild confidence.
Through this initiative, we strive to promote encouragement, unity, self-confidence, and community compassion, ensuring that no widow feels alone or unsupported.
POLICY CONCLAVE 2026
Organized a consultation with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Women Wing and LexPOSH, bringing together 20+ organizations, NGOs, and research scholars to discuss policy recommendations for women in Tamil Nadu.
Key issues discussed included the challenges faced by fisherwomen, saltpan workers, sanitation workers, widows, women with alcoholic spouses, victims of domestic violence and trafficking, prison inmates, women with disabilities, and young mothers.
We also addressed the role and experiences of women in fields such as medicine, media, journalism, politics, education, and self-help groups.
Grateful for the strong participation and meaningful discussions that made our first major event a success.
